What is Ed Pack Global?
Ed. Pack Global is a backpack company that for every product we sell, a portion of our profits goes towards funding education both locally and in developing countries. Currently, we are focusing on women's education.
We're a social enterprise.
What does that mean for you? It means you can trust that your purchase supports a good cause. A portion of every product goes towards organizations that work to educate women. It means that you are not just a business transaction, but you are participating in a global movement that furthers human well-being and enables socioeconomic development. Ed Pack is proud to be a social enterprise and is thankful that our supporters are just as passionate about education as we are.
Thistle Farms is our partner out of Nashville. We have a GED fund set up through our partners at Thistle Farms to help women who have come off the streets take the GED and get a diploma. In turn, these women have hope for a better job, allowing them to support themselves and their families.
Mi Esperanza is an incredible company based out of Honduras. For every backpack that we sell, a portion is donated towards skills training for women in Honduras. This allows the women to not only support themselves, but also gives them the ability to support their families.
We are continually looking for more ways to encourage and fund education. If you know of any other great causes we can support, send us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org and we would love to talk to you about it!
We're a company made by college students, for college students.
All six of our team members attend a college in Nashville. We come from across the United States and are working on majors from Biology to Business to English and Math. We are thankful for the education we’ve received and want to encourage students everywhere. As college students, we've designed the perfect backpack for the everyday student. by selling a backpack that supports our customer’s education as well as enables women to receive an education in developing nations.
We’re passionate about women’s education.
We believe that women’s education is a critical entry point into the alleviation of poverty for developing countries. Education empowers women to become socially and economically independent as well as reduces fertility rate, contributing to slowed population growth and reduced strain on resources and dependency ratios, ultimately lowering poverty levels. Our products raise awareness of the movement towards a global education.
We invest local.
Ed. is proud to operate out of Nashville, Tennessee. We employ local team members and designers because we believe in the cultural capital of our city.
We have really cool partners.
We partner with Mi Esperanza in Tegucigalpa, Honduras and Thistle Farms right here in Nashville. Both sustain change in women’s lives by funding their education, providing jobs, and teaching trade skills. Our partners have a local and global impact on their communities.
Where can I learn more about the cause?
At Ed. Pack Global, we are passionate about supporting women’s education. UNICEF has said, “Educating girls is a surefire way to raise economic productivity, lower infant and maternal mortality, improve nutritional status and health, reduce poverty, and wipe out HIV/AIDS and other diseases.” At Ed. Pack, we shine a light on a demographic that is often overlooked by selling our backpacks.
If you want to learn more about our cause and where the money goes, check out our partner’s websites at Mi Esperanza and Thistle Farms.
We’re just getting started!
Founded in 2015, we have been working for over a year now to get our products out and keep spreading awareness. We’re working hard to create even more products, and connect with more partners. Want to help? We’re launching our Kickstarter on January 17th. We will be taking pledges, donations, shares, and likes.
